Is a belfry the cemetery? I see tombstones and So I am left to think that a belfry is the cemetery~! I adore your area….I am so jealous too. These are the place I see on television of places in the world I want to see sooo badly~!

  • Belfry is the architectural term for a bell tower….. I’ve always wondered if ‘bel’ refers to bell tower and ‘fry’ refers to the friars or monks that were responsible for bell ringing in medieval times.
