Deed Not Breed

My German Shepherd Dog ‘Blaze’ and the campaign to end BSL.
Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) is the blanket term for laws that either regulate or ban certain breeds in hope of reducing dog attacks. Some city/municipal governments have enacted breed specific laws. However, the problem of dangerous dogs will not be remedied by the ‘quick fix’ of breed specific laws- or, as they should truly be called, breed discriminatory laws.
It is worth noting that in some areas regulated breeds include not just American Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, English Bull Terriers and Rottweilers but also a variety of other dogs including, American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Dalmatians, Chow Chows, German Shepherds, Doberman Pinschers, or any mix of these breeds- and dogs who sim…

The Dark Side Of The Lake District.

The Lake District National Park…… Always comes across so inviting, vibrant, tranquil, colourful, a place for reflection, somewhere to ease troubled souls and reconnect with the natural world.
What happens when this tranquil natural world turns retrograde?
The tranquil streams turn to rivers and rivers cause flooding. The mountains, an array of colour and geographical magnificence turn to a dangerous wilderness when the mist rolls down the valleys aided by the howling wind. The breath taking scenery becomes restricted upon the arrival of yet another down pour and suddenly the place looks bleak, uninviting, moody, baron, wet, cold and dark.
This beautiful place seems to mood swing like the manic depressed.
