Bruno's abode
Balingup, Western Australia
I only met Bruno briefly. He kept to himself, preferring distance. So when he sent a message allowing me to photograph his old stables, I was hugely honoured. He stayed out of sight while I wandered the stables, but his goats and geese kept an eye on me!

Love this image. The subject matter is so evocative and your treatment adds to the feel. Did you use an Orton effect on this?
Andrew
Louise Cooke replied
Thanks for your kind words Andrew :) I didn’t use orton – it’s my first attempt at HDR, and I’m looking forward to trying a bit more of this. Thanks heaps for taking a look!

Absolutely stunning image, Louise !!!! You really have done it justice, especially with the treatment and the lighting control, such clarity and tonal range !!! You should have a ball around this as there would be so much to shoot !!

Hoorah for Bruno! And what a romantic look you’ve made of it, the lighting is so beautiful. I love old places like this. The one I’m moving into looks a bit more solid, but this is really pretty.
