OK, Louise! Who put the weed in the window? You know its not kosher to “stage” these things. Are those holders for louvered windows? I think I will have to say your score on this one is “intangible”.

LOL!!! Just kidding! I like it…. but I am weird…. so you can’t go by my opinion. What I would really like is to be able to renovate an old place like this!

thanks Rany..I think?!!! Well, it was there!!! That is one thread haning in of a huge clump growing outside the window. Honest. Trust me. “yeah right” he says!

What’s wrong with staging? FIlmmakers do it all the time. Why not photographers.

great shot again – the lighting is perfect and you really get a sense of it being aged and battered.

Nothing wrong with staging, I say! That’s where you can put a little bit of your head in the mix. I like this shot either way…makes me feel good :)

The color and light in this capture is fantastic. The subtleties presented here are, well, really amazing. Incredible eye. Mind sharing what was done, if anything, in post-production?

  • Louise Cooke replied

Hi Wesley – what a great comment – thank you!
For processing, I’ve done some adjustment in curves and added a bit of saturation, then a sepia tone to warm the image, finished with vignette…nothing too fancy for this one! Thanks for your interest, really appreciated :)
