Beautiful capture Louise.
I find it so hard to photograph forests, due to the light coming through the trees.
You’ve done a great job here.
Louise Cooke
Thanks guys, glad you like it!! I know what you mean Jared – I think I struck it l lucky because this area was just soooo dense and in a slight dip…so mininal backlight showing through :)

Such strong verticals – grand photo which really emphasises the depth of the woodland as the light stems darken as they recede….

The fade to black at the edges really exaggerates the mystery within the subject. I think I may prefer it without the fence though, just my personal opinion. well done

Two tones, round & bushy, straight & vertical—total opposites mixed together to form one awesome composition. I love your unique take on such an everyday event like a walk in the forest. In fact, your gallery is full of unique and stylish artwork. You`re definitely on my list.
And many thanks for commenting on my stuff!

marshall calve...
great, reminds me of those beautiful Japanese silk paintings
Mark Ross
This is glorious! Your choice of foreground is so very important. I think it softens the stiffness or verticality (not a criticism) of the trees were they to be shown by themselves. This photograph looks like the outskirts of a magical forrest, almost Disneyesque in its appeal. A wonderful work of art. Great job!
Adrian Paul
