I live in a small wheatbelt town in Western Australia, where art is not always high on the agenda.
This place is both my inspiration and my frustration. I love the light here, and the sky, the spaciousness of it all, and what tiny remnants of native flora there are here, are breathtakingly glorious. It is the frustration that leads me to get off my backside and be in the world……. I seem to need that sort of adversity to inspire and motivate myself.
I am pretty eclectic when it comes to inspiration, I greedily enjoy colour, form and texture, and playing with these in any way that comes, in the small snippets of time and space that are left of me after all the other stuff that needs to happen.
Playing with digital photography satisfies my creative needs at the moment………my studio will be the last room we finish in the crazy house we build, so all the more messy creating paraphernalia in boxes remain……
Please look at my favourites – There is such a lot of inspiring imagery to enjoy and wander through on redbubble!
I have the pleasure of cohosting a fabulous group here on the bubble: my all time favourite group (not just because this vibrant group was created by Nadine and myself early 2010, but also because I seem to have a passion (obsession??!) for laundry related imagery….both creating my own, and enjoying everyone else’s!)… Wash Day with wonderful, dedicated and inspired Nadine Henley Come and check out the group and see what we’re about!
