I like to play. I find joy in small things and moments where the edge between conscious looking and subconscious seeing becomes soft enough for me to be there for a moment.
It certainly is! Your sketching has the same light freedom as your choices in photography.
thank you so much mmargot. I like that you said light and freedom. It has been taking me a while to access the light and freedom. It comes and it goes….. :))

This is so alive! The eyes and the grin are fantastic!
thank you heaps Elizabeth! This is one of my first drawing efforts in a lot of years, beyond utility drawing for plans and work props etc.:))
so so charming!!…happy eyes!
I love your drawings, and i’m so happy to hear that you are ‘drawn’ to paper and pencils! I can’t explain my recent addiction – suddenly I see everything as lines and shapes and colours meeting colours. It’s a heady experience and so delightful that you are sharing it.You are so talented – a natural artist!
I am glad that you are drawing too! Such fun we are/will have! I have tried to get back into drawing a few times over the past 20 years, (I dropped out of art school when I was 21, doodled along for a bit, but really stopped drawing much when the children hit the scene) And those other times it didn’t stick, and actually was a bit tedious to me. I think the time is right now, like for a lot of things…a mid life transformation! :))
