Say goodbye to princess and fairy dresses.
They don’t fit anymore.

Keep or pass on to other little girls? Funny how that decision will be different, depending on the day, the mood, strength, attachment.

Fujifilm finepix S1500, auto
Tweaks and twiddles with curves and colour balance, contrast and saturation
Just doodling really, we’ll see how I feel in the morning about this one.

I like to play. I find joy in small things and moments where the edge between conscious looking and subconscious seeing becomes soft enough for me to be there for a moment.

    So evocative! Lovely colors, too.

  • Thanks Betty! I had a whole line of little frilly dresses – we cleaned out the dressups to pull out what was way too small, make room for bigger things. They are all so sweet – I think I need to hang onto for a while….grand daughters one day for me maybe?

so poignant! The Last Wash (perhaps?) Great for Wash Day. And I can see you keeping them for the graddaughters to play with!

  • Yes, I feel in a keeping them mood! Not consistent though – there are plenty of special things I have given away!

Beautiful shot – but kinda sad too. Keep as much as you can! It is such a joy to revist your childhood years on. Love the colours here, the ruffles, the pegs – just so gorgeous and girly.

  • Thank you Jodie! It’s funny how we get attached to things! I have packed the special ones away, with a few to pass on too, so I’m being virtuous and decluttering as well as keeping mementos!

Keep everything, when my twins were born I made up a box for each of them, collecting “first” things, blankets..I wrote them each a letter, and told them they could open these boxes when they turned 18..which was in May..lets just say we were all in tears..they grow up so fast..
    Beautiful image Lou!!!!!!

  • Thank you Kim! For advice too – Sometimes I feel driven to cleanse and let go…but it doesn’t really come naturally – I’m a hoarder! I will put them away for my daughters for later! Never know, I could get grand daughters one day!

Gorgeous shot Lou – love those princess dresses – my granddaughter has a lovely blue one and always wears it to birthday parties :))

  • Little girls dress ups are so beautiful aren’t they! It is sad when they grow out of all that!

I love the princessy dresses, reminds me of being little! This would fit right in in the ‘So Blue’ group!

  • I will go and visit that group! Thank you!
