And they left seed!!
Leek seed heads in the evening light. I risked getting bitten by something ouch as I lay on the straw to get this shot.

I like to play. I find joy in small things and moments where the edge between conscious looking and subconscious seeing becomes soft enough for me to be there for a moment.
great shot Lou, worth the risk to get that good angle and sky colour. Love the looming Leek seed heads. I took some photos of leeks yesterday, @ CJ’s, they are so globular.
We were looking at another patch of leeks, and each head had a single striped flower wasp sleeping nestled in the head! Sadly not enough macro capability – wasps sleep in very interesting places! Down the botttom of the property, the blue black wasps roost in dead branches, then once you start looking….we have a zillion species, and they all sleep in special spots!
great love the title, just watched the triffids the other night, so wondering what you may get from these.great image and love the way you have captured them against the dusk sky, hope you did not get bitten. just wiondering have you added this into the shape and patterend group.
I could add them to the shapes and patterns. Thank you Karen! Oh the Triffids – Ed reads the book at least once every couple of years. Freaked me out when I was a teenager – i was terrified to sleep with a plant anywhere near! These guys just had that alien look!
I actually thought I was looking at one of my photos that I havent uploaded here lol. Brilliant work :P
They must have that certain something! Thank you!
Excellent angle and colors, again a great idea!
Cheers Walter, and thank you for the fav too!
