Succulent Pink by LouJay

The pink of the flower of Aptenia cordifolia – a rather weedy, but usefully groundcovering succulent against a glazed aqua/jade pot thrills my colour senses. A pot on my verandah, where I had temporarily parked this rather scrabbly plant. Might have to rethink ‘temporary’

I like to play. I find joy in small things and moments where the edge between conscious looking and subconscious seeing becomes soft enough for me to be there for a moment.

Beautiful bright and vibrant, is this what people call “pigface”? I like those plants, so colorful!

  • I do think some call it pigface – but there are a few things called pigface – seems to mean different species to different folks. I like the resilience of this one – I had it lying on the ground, pulled from it’s pot for maybe 2 months – finally deicided to give it a home – no problem at all!
