Washed radishes, draining over dish water. You know, I really should be doing some work! It can be a challenge to switch off the creative brain at times, and even lunch preparation has it’s inspiration….
Fujifilm Finepix S1500
Played with aperture priority, but I would have no idea what I chose that was working!

I’m mostly a ‘just do it’ kind of gal – and if it works good – not a whole lot of method in my madness.

I like to play. I find joy in small things and moments where the edge between conscious looking and subconscious seeing becomes soft enough for me to be there for a moment.

fabulous radishes! now I heard from a photographer that digital cameras don’t handle a lot of red well but these red lovelies are gorgeous!

  • I have had problems with red, with my little olympus. My next step up (still no DSLR…) Fujifilm finepix seems to handle red way better, but yellow can pose an issue in strong light! I think the aqua tub helps with the red a bit, but I have had some really really awful shots of red poppies that are just a big scary red blur!

This is a nice vivid pic Lou, its rather beautiful, I have photoed vegies too they come out pretty good, must upload one, AND……..was it a bullet hole?

  • Thanks Adrian! – Not bullet hole sadly, but at some time or another, someone must have fastened something to that beat up old van with screws. Screwhole. There’s a line of them, that continue up the side….sadly.
I love vegetables – and photographing them just extends on from my passion for them.

this is great! The greens really zing with the red and the shiny uv on the radishes brings it all together. I can see a theme… maybe a food calendar? with lots of circles and semicircles in it?

  • Thank you Nonie! I could see that too. I was having some fun on the weekend playing with whatever caught my eye. Should have been painting windows and doors…..
