Number 213 in my 365 project 1-100 and 101-200 and 201-300

There was a time when my whole home environment was like this. Every single part a work in progress, with the chaos and clutter that accompanies.
I got into using a digital camera to (a) try to capture the good bits of my world to make it feel better and to filter out the chaos for my sanity, and (b)to dabble creatively during a long building process that rendered other media such as painting or mosaic or felting or sculpting or textile work or big pastel drawing kind of difficult (no room, stuff all in boxes, no time, no energy….) A photograph clearly depicting the overwhelming mess of a building site simply was not something I needed to have in my life.

Now, as the the idea of completion actually seems possible and achievable, I find I can bare the truth, to myself and to you, and, I can bear the truth, now it seems bearable. Does that make sense?

This is one of the last few parts to actually build. All the rest is fitting and finishing.

Fujifilm finepix s1500, aperture priority mode

I like to play. I find joy in small things and moments where the edge between conscious looking and subconscious seeing becomes soft enough for me to be there for a moment.

work of art : work of love.
Certainly does make sense! When one takes on a massive project and fnishes it, life changes; sort of leaves a gap. I can’t explain it really, either … strange feeling to look at the results and say I Did This! And a kind f empty place in the fabric when you think you should be working on things more. ( totally muddled comment for a great shot )
