It seems appropriate to upload this as my last pic for 2008. As I was shooting a few frames of this scene near Stillbay in the Western Cape, a gust of wind blew my tripod over. My favorite lens, a Canon 10-22mm, and my only Cokin ND grad was snapped in half by the impact of the fall! This is the last frame I shot with it still intact. Surprisingly, my 20D is still in perfect working order.
Today is also my last day as an ‘IT Professional’. As I’m typing this, I’m busy copying the last remnants of 9 years of my life to an external harddrive. Once that’s done, so am I.
In 2009 I will persue my passion for photography full time, or die trying.
