I was saddened to see these magnificent white peacocks in a cold grey cage their world black and white longing for the colour beyond the bars.I was surprised at how this came out it almost looks painted.

    They are beautiful bords – and yes- so sad they locked in a cement cage :(

    i found them in council avairies in a public park with many other beautiful large birds.I admit I keep birds too but much larger cages and much smaller birds, definitely not concrete lots of grass and trees

    Wow, what a find, white peacocks, so rare and oh so beautiful. Yes, a backdrop of green pastures would be perfect but sadly we do not live in a perfect world. Ab fab capture and a definite fav.

    This is so beautiful, it looks like an old painting, I thought it was at first. They do look a little bit sad.

    Congrats Louise on your feature and photo. I have to agree with JulieMahony in that we don’t live in a perfect world. It would be nice if, while in captivity, these 2 beauties (in particular) could live a bit more conducive to their natural environment. Having a little knowledge of birds, I do know that sometimes they are bred to achieve albinos. A classic example is the Fischer’s Lovebird
    Still, all God’s creatures deserve the best environment and care possible. Thanks for sharing your image.

    thankyou for your comments, they appeared to have clean cages and be well fed but not a blade of grass anyway and yes that is what they deserve along with much more space
