The Secret Garden by louisegreen

Currently unavailable for purchase

Oils on canvas board 16″ × 20″
Not for sale – collection of the artist.

This painting was taken from a photo in a book by Robert Vavra.
I just wanted to paint this picture in oils to hang in our house as I
love Unicorns so much & particularly loved the photo.
I painted the eye of the Unicorn blue, instead of brown.

Strangely enough after I had painted it, someone commented that
she could see fairies through the flowers. I can find a couple there
(a feminine figure in a dress – to the right of the unicorn’s nose, she
is faint but you may be able to see her if you view it larger.)
It’s a magic little painting!
