An Awesome Year, bring on 2016!

I’ve had an amazing year in 2015 with over 50 pieces of original work selling to collectors across the United States and a few pieces to the UK. Original paintings, drawings, commissions, & the popular Rock ‘N’ Ponies with a few more commissions on the waiting list to do.

It was an extremely busy & productive year for me that opened a lot of doors.
I’m very inspired & feel like my creativity is on fire!

Thank you to all the collectors who have purchased works, prints & cards from me.
I’m very honoured and excited about the year ahead!

LUSITANO DANCE II won another 1st prize at a local show & a couple of other drawings won awards at Taree Show 2015.

Happy New Year to all for 2016.

Sales & overseas commissions

It has been an exciting time since the end of last year with many originals going overseas to collectors in US. Some of the Painted Ponies Series have gone to new homes & I am in the process of creating more as the demand for them grows. There are only a few left for sale and I have 2 more as commissions to do.

The Rock ‘N’ Ponies have been very popular – with over 50 pieces sold across the world, some of them commissioned. I have not listed them all here on RedBubble but you can find them on my Facebook page. Available ones are listed in my Etsy shop
www.etsy.com/shop/PaintedDreamsStudios

At the moment I am snowed under with commissions – mostly horses, a landscape and then a dog painting to do which is on the list of future works. There are some large fluoro …

Studio Opening & Painted Ponies in a new book

After 18 months of hard work my studio is finally ready for viewing & we had an official opening on Saturday 23rd November, opened by Jim Frazier. A friend purchased a Friesian horse pic on the day, which was fantastic, & everyone had a great day with lots of yummy food & champagne.

I’m so looking forward to spending the Christmas Holidays and most of January in the new studio creating in my own space.
I have set it up also as a gallery space, where people can visit to see a lot of my work, some old, some new & some for sale.

About 3 years ago I was contacted by Kym Eitel, an award winning Australian bush poet who writes beautiful bush poetry about horses. Kym had seen my work on the internet & fell in love with Starburst Pony, Free Paint & some other works, w…

Four Fluoro Ponies Fly to USA & an upcoming feature in "Horsewyse" magazine

Recently a buyer purchased four “Painted Ponies” acrylic paintings from me & they have now gone to their new home near Washington USA.
“Pony Power I” “Spirit Ponies” “Little Gypsy Treasures Pony” & “Fireworks Pony”
all flew to USA last month.
As there are not many paintings left of this series I need to get out the brushes
& create some new ones. They have been great sellers indeed!

On the weekend I met a lady who has offered me the opportunity to exhibit at a wonderful venue in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales where I originally came from & I’m looking at holding a solo exhibition of equine artworks there later in the year.
Will keep you posted as the definite dates & details are made.

Having returned …

"Spring Unicorn" in Warner Bros movie!

Some really exciting news! Last week I was contacted by Warner Bros movies for the use of “Spring Unicorn” to be featured in a movie set for a current movie they are filming now. The painting is to be enlarged and used on a bedroom wall in “The Conjuring” directed by James Wan (Insidious, Saw)

I’m so wrapped about this opportunity & will wait to hear more if the image is used in the final cut for the movie. This little painting has been for sale for a while now, won an award in a local show, been to many exhibitions & out of the blue has received some attention from the movie company in USA. I have also had an enquiry today regarding if the original is for sale, which it is.

Our local paper is running the story this week & you could say I’…

"Artists Palette" magazine feature in Issue 104 - 25th November 2011

I’m honoured to be one of the featured artists in the latest issue of “Artist’s Palette” magazine, due out Friday 25th November with 2 articles on my work.
The first article is an insight article and the other is a demonstration painting with a new work, especially created for the magazine.
It looks fantastic! I’m really stoked about this opportunity.

Some other news….“Sunlight & Shadow, Lansdowne River” picked up another award recently in pastels at the Nambucca Valley Arts Council exhibition at Nambucca Heads, winning Highly Commended. This has been my most successful painting with a total of 13 awards to date….with possibly another commission of the same scene to do again for a client, in a larger painting.
I have painted this loca…
