Whale's Morning Song, Woolgoolga

Pastel on Grey Colourfix Pastel Paper 2009
SOLD

Earlier in the year a friend & myself spent a week at the gorgeous little town of Woolgoolga, situated on the Far
North Coast of the NSW East Coast. We had rented a holiday
cottage for the week, to paint & photograph some of the
local beaches.

The view from the cottage on the headland was lovely &
this painting was created from there. The first morning we
were blessed with watching the sun rise over the ocean
as a Humpback whale breached in the distance.

I had entered this painting for an exhibition but it was sold
beforehand.

Louise this is very beautiful. We call the rays of light through the clouds ‘God’s Fingers’ and I would have truly felt as if He was giving me that scene as a gift. XX
