& also image to be used for their new wine label of “Blazin’ Blush” to be released late 2009.

Last Thursday (20 Nov) I was working on an oil painting commission in the morning & decided to paint a couple of small acrylics in the afternoon (as I needed some new work to take to the gallery by Saturday.)

For some reason I was thinking of Skyhorse’s beautiful
Appaloosas & this little painting was one of the results.
There is a characteristic love heart on the pony somewhere.

    Thanks Trudi, these little acrylics don’t take long. You have to
    work quickly as the paint dries fast & I find that when I paint these
    it frees me up from my usual style. The brush strokes are just
    splashed on. (only took an hour or so for each pic.)

    Beautiful, I’m glad it made it to Texas, quarter horses are big in this area of Missouri. Matter of fact our house is just up from the horse show and rodeo arena in our little town. All my nephews and grand nephews are into horses.
