I visited Uluru/Ayers Rock in January 2008. It was summertime there, and it was incredibly hot (it was 42C at 3.00 am!!) but also incredibly interesting. When I took this photo I was on an aboriginal tour, which I really enjoyed and highly recommend to anyone who travels there. Beautiful landscape, colors and people.

Wow! Great catch Louise. This rock is enormous. I like the section you are showing here. Not the usual view ot it. So beautiful with all the clouds in the sky and the trees across the front.
Thanks Ginny, I’m glad to hear you like this pic. :-)

A stunning capture of Uluru on a hot and stormy afternoon. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your Aboriginal tour of Uluru (I used to work for Anangu Tours – an experience that I shall never forget). Beautiful photography :-)
Thanks Kieran! The colours were amazing, unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Lucky you having the experience of working there!
