Was blown away today
I saw the most magnificent photography exhibition today…
“Ancient Hampi” at the Immigration Museum (Flinders st Melbourne).
I feel a deep affinity for the place….as We traveled through Hampi- in central India about 7 years ago.
A day after arriving, I suffered a ruptured appendix…and
remember drifting in and out of consciousness over several days

To places exotic and wondrous….
From cloud grazing Andes Mountains in Argentina,
To the humid Amazon basin…in Bolivia.
With mountain climbing boots and cameras, I am armed
for adventures unknown….
In 6 weeks we return…

Dreaming of La Paz...
Time is flying by, and our travels to Argentina and Bolivia will commence soon…
Bolivia certainly has so much to explore and experience.
though at altitudes above 4000 m , it will be very cold, and we’ll need time to acclimatise.
We have read of Journeys from the top of the Andes, down to the adjacent Amazon Basin… a trail we intend to follow…
And explore the remnants of Inca civili…

A First for me….
Fading Memories of Turkey...
Its been 9 months since our travels in Turkey.
But it is only now,
that I can look at the images, and appreciate them for what they are…rather than that
vivid exaggerated memory that persists when one first arrives home.
Although initially unhappy, I now have fresh eyes….
of 1200 or so images, I have processed about 70….very slow progress indeed.
But It wouldn’t be right to em…

My Dad returned recently from his annual skiing trip to America and Canada.
No big deal though he is only 76 …
I am just photoshopping some images for him…
A little surprise – I intend printing a book for him…as he thinks that
this trip- may have been his last.
I am pretty impressed with his photography…though he has had many years of practice…

HOW FRUSTRATING....
We have been home a week…
After our trip to Turkey….
I took over 2500 different images,
and have now processed 10.
Work is a little all encompassing at the moment…
Lots of out of hours shifts.
(post “holiday fun” pay-back time??)
Thank goodness image regression is no longer an issue-
looking forward to more free time…...........
