beautiful Loui. A moving, brilliant series of works
I want to give an interpretation of this so bad but am holding my tongue since you silenced me:)) Can you please tell me who the portrait of the man is under her ear? I enlarged it and my screen is still to fuzzy. I have had only one cuppa this morning and I think it is my sight:( I am also seeing what I think is an angel in the hair. How lovely! I really am into this Loui. :))
you of course are free to give any interpretation you may please Donna, i would never discourage such a wonderful thing from some one with your sensitivity doing so, i would never silence you in any meaning of the word…i think what i inferred that time was that “I” personally do not have an ‘interpretation’ as such that is all….but you doing so is your prerogative as it is with any one who views a piece of art, to limit a work into just one defined meaning seems to lock that works potential away, but i can always make rudimentary explanation of aspects in the drawing, such as those you ask…..the near this figures ear is Bach and the ‘angel’ entwined within her hair is none other then catholic representation of chirst being taken off the cross in his lifeless state. thank you for your comments and visits Donna i appreciate them immensely.

another gorgeous ink work Loui :)
I don’t know if this work can be called ledger art, but it has the same loved effect on me. A good artist (like you) knows how to use and blend the previously printed material with their own to create a seamless work of story. The use of color makes her black tear even more emotion-filled.
Really beautiful sir.
Stunning on so many levels…..we want to read the ink from all the ways you have presented her story to us. I love what I perceive in the nape of her neck the angel and some struggling images of her behind. I wondered which of Bach’s musical composition would be a good accompaniment to this and felt this one was worthy. youtube:http://youtu.be/sPY7xL1JItQ
Yes I did spy and Johann in this wonderful art. :)
thank you Arcadia your attentions and comments mean much to me, for i have always seen you as deeply sensitive and astute so your visits are my honor and joy. yes yes Bach indeed…..and the ‘angel’ is as you say a mental burden in kind for it is none other then christs lifeless physical body being taken down from the cross that in this instance is her hair….:) what all this may mean is beyond me really, the words tell a complex story that i fear i have not had the time to attempt to decipher myself….am am no story teller just a conduit to a story told….as is most an artist…..i love the link youe sent and it was indeed part of the music i listened to as this image was made in slow sparodic a modulation.
