here you go again – women tend to get the short stick :)

  • lol….Irina i am a man so its a touch harder for me to make an observation of any real credibility unless its from a male perspective, i guess here i see a woman as one who can grow and flourish and sprout new life where men basically damage and destroy…?….and for the record “i would much much rather be a tree then a tool”…….. :D

I don’t see this one as a negative portrayal of either sex..i see it as a wonderful allegory of what can happen when two people who are just incompatible get together. They should use this work to bring home the point to those who continue to live in destructive relationships despite warnings from family and friends, which of course sadly usually ends up with one partner dead or close to death. I think Loui..you could easily do a male tree and female chainsaw version as well…it is not always just the female who suffers. A work collegue of mine paid with his life for his inability to protect himself from just such a relationship. Very powerful work Loui.

  • i totally agree with you titli your right in all aspects of this comment….the gender in the end has no consequence and could apply either way…thank you for your time and meaningful thoughts they are valued and appreciated

i don’t see this as anything derogatory towards women either !!!…it is plain and simple, to me, a statement of how at odds, opposites in a relationship can be and ultimately, how destructive, be it emotional or physical…..or both…….your toon is a light hearted visual message, not to be taken too seriously, one would think……it made me laugh :-))))
