Loui, how long did this take you to do? And on average how many pieces a day/week do you average. Really you have such a knack with light and composition, natural talent
i appreciate your question (and comments) this actual drawing is quite large not huge but approx 90cmx60cm on 9 pages (from old book bound for the tip) the drawing executed in one sitting (a must to keep the freshness) i practice the face with my brush on smaller sheets of paper and simplify till i get a result i am after then i draw in the body in watered down ink then use a thicker chinese brush to fill in the black areas….this drawing took approx three hours from start to finish this includes the sketches in pencil and ink wash ……others take longer or shorter…..sometimes i do three works in one day and night (with breaks for food and reading or mowing the lawn….) if all is going well….some days i do more works others i do none…i try to do some drawing every single day. thank you for asking LB i hope this answers in part your inquiry……

Good piece Loui. He looks a little like Harry S. Truman, :).

I love your compositions on 9 book pages… And enjoyed your reply to Laughing Bones, about your daily routine (I would have never dared to ask you such private questions myself)
