Very good! ;-)
Many times, I’ve promised myself I would have a go at drawing a pair of sneakers/or, shoes I wore…though, I hardly ever wear shoes/only at funerals/family gatherings…; but, after endless years and years, I still haven’t gotten around to even ‘attempting’ doing such a drawing, yet?!
I guess, the main source of ‘inspiration’ must come from Van Gogh who it’s said used to walk for endless miles and miles…; in fact, he once visited/lived at 87 Hackford Road, Brixton, London, England, SW9…
…believe it or not, this isn’t too very far from where I live…about 2 districts away…Brixton/Tulse Hill/West Norwood. So, many times, when I go across the River Thames bridge to visit seeing the West End Cineworld…returning back home late…usually, somewhere around close to midnight…I deliberately come off the main road; and, choose to take instead a number of side road turnings…riding my bike straight past number 87 Hackford Road…to go and see the ‘Blue Plaque’ they’ve put on the wall commemorating his memory; right nearby is a street called, Van Gogh Walk. You can read the newspaper article here…
As with any good artwork; the artist has to know…how to compose the pic interestingly; as well as, how to draw/paint, effectively…as usual, your drawing/painting is very impressive, indeed; most importantly it shows that you know not just what to include…by, maybe, far more importantly what to leave out; and, this helps create a really superb work of art…when when you look at it…you can see things are just constantly changing…line/shape/texture/colours/tones/position/etc. Your work never fails to impress me/or, leave me feeling ‘inspired’ to give art another try. Thanks enormously for your very patient efforts to keep on posting stuff non-stop here on RedBubble. ;-)
The classics, and nicely worn too.
if the shoe fits…the look of this is fab, they look like two old friends
