"Boiling point "
Watercolour done on saunders Waterford 200 LB rough of a sussex seascape. This is a rendition from a photograph of mike bovs and i decided to do this fairly loosely.

Thanks mike,I kept this quite loose and introduced a slight a grey/violet to the sky & distance, it looks even better in the fleshand better large.

Both images are great productions. Your “Boiling point” for its originality in using this particular colour and light. mikbov’s for its darker threat of power. A photograph which already has that oil look. Thank you both for presenting such magnificent creations.

Really lovely Bill. You chose exactly the right hues with that pinkish/mushroomy warm background colour to complement the stormy ‘boiling point’ perfectly. Absolute proof here that art can improve on a photograph, with your amazing ability as an artist to ‘see’ the appropriate colour palette!

Many thanks Linda my Friend, yes,that hue was made of caput mortum & cobalt turquoise and really sets the scene,it looks even better in the flesh as being two granulating colours there is nice seperation of colours
