I especially like the flat textural over-lay and how it affects a monument-like image, whilst not actually sheathing the figure by following its natural contour. It’s though there is an implied understanding that in one view is a promise, the other analogous of a veiled fear. Here then is terminus before new life—or is it? Is this the stuff of flesh, stone or mere illusion?
