Gorgeous capture, Lorranine! Beautiful!

Thank you everyone for all your kind comments. Where possible I reply by bubblemail. I just want to add some information on this shot ….. I hadn’t planned to visit the Callanish Stones that evening, rather the next day, but was passing, so stopped and was greeted with low sunshine and a wonderful rainbow, and no people….I couldn’t believe my luck! No time for tripods, just point and shoot on aperture priority, and thankful for I.S.! I returned the next morning, but with dull grey skies I couldn’t get motivated to get my camera out! cheers, Lorraine

Oh, my word!! This is too awesome! No wonder it’s won prizes- you should try to sell it to a tourism bureau, or someting.
Listen you sent it to my group, but we aren’t taking rainbows. Have you sent it to the Rainbow Group? I think it would be the second of the two I’m about to write in here:
Just Rainbows (painted, drawn, computer graphpics) or
Rainbows.
Lorraine Parra... replied
HI, sorry about that (Callanish Stones rainbow), and thank you so much for your kind comment and advice. I have sent it off to rianbows group. I’ve sent another shot to your group…..fingers crossed this time, but please let me know if not applicable. I’m a newbie to RB! Be patient with me! cheers, Lorraine

You made the most of this wonderful opportunity with a superb image Lorraine, love the contrast of warm light on the stones against that dark ominous sky, the rainbow adds that magical element that makes the image a winner all the way, well captured indeed,

I actually had a very similar experience and scene the first time I was there. Unfortunately, I was not able to capture it – partly due to the poring rain forcing me to pack my equipment and seek refuge in my car. So I’m even more pleased for you.
