Welcome to my colourful world…..so glad you could visit. I hope you enjoy looking at my photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I have recently returned to my homeland, England, after working for 6 years as an English teacher in Huatulco on the beautiful Oaxacan Pacific coast of Mexico. I love travelling, and I’ve always had a passion for looking at, and taking landscape and nature photos (Olympus OM1), but work commitments and horses distracted me for many years until 2003 when I bought my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot S1 IS, with which I learnt so much. Now landscape and nature, and currently abstract photography is my passion, and I changed to a DSLR Olympus E-510 a year ago. It came with two lenses, 14 – 42mm 3.5-5.6 and 40 – 150mm 4-5.6. The camera uses the 4:3 ratio system which gives good depth of field, and with x2 crop factor the telephoto lens seems more like 300mm!

I use Hoya circular polarising and neutral density filters, and Cokin graduated ND filters . I edit using Elements 7. Not forgetting a lightweight, very cheap tripod that’s easy to carry when hiking…saving for a carbon fibre one!

I only upload my best on RB but I also have many albums (nearly 700,000 views) featuring vacation/travel/experimental/memories photos on Webshots, here

Cheers, Lorraine
