    My daughter Pip also does art and photography and use to do silk painting at school, it is a terrific art form. We are kinda opposites as my daughter does photography and I paint on silk and you two are the other way around.

    Thanks, I think you would do very well with them, considering that you can use ink, as it is similar in many ways. The only real difference is using gutta ( a rubber type product) with a nib and bottle instead of pencils, this contains the dyes and stops them running everywhere. although sometimes i just have fun and let them run all over the silk, with some surprising results.

    it is wonderful, i studied fine art, but i never really tried paint on silk with dye…. we did do batique work with dye and bee’s wax on material… not quite the same cause the colors are faded compared to your silk work… love it.
