An original mouth brush painting by Lori Konkle:
“Fall Foliage,”18”x24,” Gouache, Inventory # unknown

Lori Konkle painted 527 watercolors holding the brush in her mouth due to advanced multiple sclerosis. A very devout and optimistic person, she almost never complained about her life in a wheelchair.

Lori’s lovely landscapes, impressionistic flowers and lively animals remind us of the folk art of Grandma Moses. Lori worked in watercolor and in gouache which is opaque watercolor. We have located and photographed over 150 of her paintings so far and are pleased to present them here available as prints and greeting cards.

This is an original mouthstick painting by Lori Konkle. In her lifetime Lori painted 527 paintings holding the brush in her mouth and sold most of them to people around Virginia and West Virginia. Lori gave all the proceeds of her paintings to charity. With much effort we’ve located and photographed 150 of Lori’s paintings and we are pleased to make them available now as prints and cards.
