WOW! I am guessing you got the shot as fast as possible for his sake. Great shot!!!
Michael Gatch replied
Well the sun was rising and I had a pretty good grip, but the person I was having press the shutter took awhile to figure out how to bump up the shutter speed cause the light was changing quick. I was probably hanging there for a little over a minute.

OMG!!! YOU REALLY TAKE CHANCES, AND I THOUGHT I WAS BAD, HANGING FROM CLIFFS FOR CERTAIN SHOTS.

Is this what they mean by ‘carpe diem’? ;-}
Personally, I think this is what digital photo manipulation is for. (Lay on a sidewalk and grip the kerb, then overlay that on a shot of the empty tower and handrail. Safer!)
Amazing (and scary) image.. all the more effective because one doesn’t see at first glance exactly how high up your situation is, then, scanning for details, one realizes, and.. O.. M.. G..!

It’s a near life experience. I don’t really think much of it. It’s just one of those things. I do a lot for a shot.

Anything to get the image – I get it! I recently strapped myself to the front of a moving car to get an image. BUT THIS IS MENTAL.
STUNNING IMAGE!!!
