When I pass through rough waters…He is with me;
He will take my hand when rivers overflow.
When the flaming fires of doubt dare overtake me;
He shall overcome the flame that threats my soul.
When my spirit becomes thirsty…He’s my fountain;
In the wilderness He open’s freely waters cool.
When the darkness hovers ore and I cannot bear anymore;
He picks me up and carries me on through.
In desert land He provides a tree of shade for me;
He commands the breeze to cool my fevered brow.
When my enemies come in rage to overtake me;
He protects me in His glory round about.
He’ll provide every want and need I shall ever have;
I am fed by the Master’s own sweet hand.
When my life here is final…and coming to an end;
He will gather me to Him in that fair land.
I am thankful…
