Peer through the crack for just a moment…hurry and decide what to do…
Should I close it back now and bolt the lock down, like it has been for so long?
Stay where I am in a still quiet place…no worries that anyone will do me wrong…
Do I want to live forever this way, alone and blue, just me, myself and I?
Dare I bring me out in the open or should I just continue to hide?
It really cannot take too many more blows, this fragile heart of mine…
It’s only just recent that it has stopped bleeding from somewhere else in time…
The only thing that bothers me and has me peering through the door…
My lonesome heart won’t stop wondering, Don’t leave me alone!, it seems to want more…
But my head says Why, don’t you remember, was it not enough pain from before…?
Still my heart is crying and pleading, if I could just step one foot outside the door…
