beautiful scar

I had brain surgery for an aneurysm about 3 1/2 years ago…For those who saw the scar before my hair grew back in, well it was pretty ugly lol But for me it is a beautiful reminder of how great and wonderful my God is and thankful for the gift of every day :O) In all I had 4 aneurysms, 2 were coiled though the main vein in my leg…wonderful non invasive procedure…2 were operated on and they all were found by accident after a car accident…they say I had them for at least five years and wondered why I was still living, because they blow usually at 6mm I had one 3mm, one 8mm, one @ 11mm and one that had already bursted with no effect to me…The Dr.’s said I was lucky… I say it was God’s Grace ,His wonderful Grace! :O)

beautiful scar belongs to the following groups:

Living Christianity and Masterpieces: Literary Workshop

often life leaves ugly scars,
engraved in body and mind.
leaving a certain remembrance,
of another place and time.

it is a most natural thing,
to look and turn away.
not many scars are beautiful,
left by the hands of fate.

but there resides misconception,
when looking at an ugly old scar.
for if time and thoughts are taken,
they remind you of where you are.

not there anymore but here in the now,
looking back a smile memory gives.
for that ugly old scar is a beautiful reminder,
that today you are blessed to live.

    Beautifully written.

My scars all mark my living,
The signs of where I’ve been,
They give me form and character,
    Like some Holy seam.

The scar is never seen because of the beauty you possess and the beauty that you are. Like the scars on His hands and feet… so beautiful, so beautiful they are. SP… Your beauty glows all around you, those that do not see it… are simply blind. Love you :)

You truly are an amazing woman, thank you so much for sharing your poetry and your journey. I am honoured to have found you on this site. You have inspired me to say it’s alright. There is ugly and beauty in all and one can never eplace the cure to our own health is total self acceptance, the good, the bad, the ugly and the beuatiful and then everything jsut sort of fits here and now

    Love Julie-Ann
