But For The Potter

There was a time when I listened…
Not to the Lord, but to the world;
And surely , I turned away…
Walked away from my Lord.
It wasn’t long and my sin found me…
In a cold dark barren place;
My vessel it was shattered…
I could no longer see His face.
I thought that I had gone too far…
For I had let my Saviour down;
My willful sin left me in pieces…
Why would the Lord want me now?
But God said…I am The Potter…
And you are My clay…
And child My love has never faltered;
Ive watched ore you night and day!
I said Oh Lord, how can You love me?
As I hung my head in shame.
But with hands so kind and tender…
My Lord He started all over!
A vessel broken…but for The Potter;
Who didn’t throw this broken clay away.

But For The Potter

Artist's Description

In these vessels, we sometime become weak and find ourselves…before we even realize it…in a place we never intended to go. It is in this barren place you hear a voice telling you that God will never use you again, that He won’t hear your voice when you call…but I am a witness against that voice of satan and for The Potter, who doesn’t throw the clay away! Who’s love and mercy goes much farther then ever we could comprehend! I am a vessel of honor for my Lord today and I hope to encourage any who has strayed away to seek Him who loves you more…He never left…He is right where you left Him and He waits for you as though you were His only child :O)
