I was born in Terrace Bay, and as a child we used to go over to the Slate Islands in a little 12 foot boat, it was scary.

thank you – that was part of the Ontario Art council grant I received to go out and photograph and come back and paint the subjects.. the Slate Islands are a little over 9 km out in Superior….with carribou on them!
