Lonely in Tokyo
Walking, talking, laughing, sneezing, coughing, running, looking, pressing, pushing, yelling, holding, pulling, arriving, leaving, guessing, shouting, moving, moving, moving. A sense of urgency floods the streets like wild light. Known and unknown sounds travel distances through the air and collide into blasts of excitement and adventure. Traffic flows endlessly through the intersections, carefully watched by billboards and office windows. A pedestrian crossing screams stop as a red light breaks the momentum and a few seconds are spared for reflection and a sigh of solitude.

Although I personally like Tokyo (well to be more specific, I like Japan), I can understand what you are trying to portray. Tokyo is a big city, and it can be chaotic, and with so much going on around you; that you end up feeling lost even though there is so many people. Many of the pop stars in Japan originally come from more traditional areas like Fukuoka and make their way to Tokyo to build their careers, and I can imagine for some that they become sad as they have to move away in order to reach their goals. A singer and guitarist named Yui has a song called “Tokyo” which portrays the story of moving to Tokyo, and in one part she sang:
This old guitar was given by someone who said to me,
‘Tokyo is a scary place to be’
Natalie Perkins
Holy moley, your line work is awe inspiring!
