Have you ever really watched Grover from “Sesame Street” and just wonder….

Just what is that dude on?

I do.

All the time.

I mean, granted he’s a wonderful little puppet. Loyal, fluffy, strangely amusing, blue…but I would like to see Grover just snap out of it one day. Maybe in one of his pointless reveries just realize that his life is just one scripted lie.

And I hope when that happens. He writes me a letter {or type me an email if he’s too lazy} and vent about the utter futility of his seemingly happy staged life. We’ll go out for coffee {or rather he can drink the coffee and I’ll enjoy some tea} and we’ll talk about things. About his childhood perhaps? Maybe about mine? About the way of the world, a concept that we may both wish desperately to understand.

I wonder what his favorite foods are?
Or his favorite color? Would it be blue?

If he would snap out of it, I bet he’d be cool. But I’m just saying..
