Lozzle
i think the makeup isn’t grisly enough for the image
otherwise – fantastic!!!
lollipoppins replied
How can I make the makeup more grisly without doing it again?
Sam Fletcher
Could you darken the make up around the mouth, so you don’t see the skin as much?
lollipoppins replied
Is that a little better?
Alice Oates
You need…help…not with photography, tho i agree with above comments…but still…
lollipoppins replied
Hehe. Should show Mr Lewis. I wonder what he’d have to say about it…
Colin Tobin
Quite unsettling.
Great photo.
Sam Fletcher
That’s much better than it was. How are you so good? Nice one!
Lozzle
uh, dont think so. oh well – its awesome as it is :P
charitygrace
Spooky but very well-done
Jessica Walker
Eerie, I actually thought from the thumbnail image this would be a photo manipulation. Great work with the makeup. You fooled me!
Emsky
WOOOAW! That’s terrifying. And awesome…and….cooool =D (has become very inarticulate)

Excellent work, Lolliepoppins
MissMiller
Wow. Intense, and a little scary. Well done!

Congrats! If you’re scaring yourself with this – relax. If you weren’t THEN I’d be worried. And – I don’t think it’s you who need counselling – I think (from my professional opinion (lol)) that you have such great insight into the human condition that it’s you who should counsel others!
My only comment re the image itself is that it would be ‘stronger’ (if that’s all that possible) if it was not possible to tell that it’s makeup. A real ‘facepiece’ of some kind… and I MIGHT play around with extending it down and across the base of the image a little to add a bit more movement to the composition (?)
But – great work :)))

No problems – and I think you’re a pretty awesome artist! (and just a secret – all pretty awesome artists HAVE TO be just that tiny bit ‘not sane’ at times so that they can be so awesome… but – that’s no problem… unless you hold it in and don’t let it out in your art :))) And my skills at PS are pretty limited too – but it’s a heap of fun playing around and learning…
Cheers :)))

Hehe, I agree with the bit about artists have to not be sane, I think that’s where the ‘creative’ bit comes from :P ..I don’t agree with the bit about me being an awesome artist though, teehee.
Ahh yeah, best bit about photoshop is when you discover things you didn’t know before, that makes your pics 100x better. :D

Hi sweetheart – I don’t know if I’m now looking at an image that has bee re-worked since you loaded it, but whatever the case, I absolutely ADORE this. It is an easy fave for me – superbly done, you rock :)))))
lollipoppins replied
Yeah, it has been slightly reworked since I uploaded it. Regardless, thank you so much! Aww I’m really chuffed now. You made my day :D Thank you!
Colleen Milburn
OK, I just had to come back to this. The reason, I think, why it works is because it’s obviously a ‘factual’ work. If you processed it any more in some editing software you MAY get a somewhat more ‘fantasy’ look, but I think that would be ruining it. It works because it is real, because it evokes a ‘dark’ sense which I love about this, something about ‘ordinary’ people and their ‘underworld’. Not sure if this makes sense, but there you go… lol!
lollipoppins replied
I get what you mean, :) Thank you so much!

I think the image is great as is!.....The only thing i’d change would be to put a (very) small highlight in the eye! Just to give the eye some life.
lollipoppins replied
Ah, I hear you. I see what you mean now you’ve pointed it out. I’ll do that soon, and tell you when I have. Thank you!! :D

freeeeeeeaaakkky! Great post editing and use of space. Great shot!
sonjas
Scary but excellent. Great shot.
Thierry Vincent
Really freaky! To me it definitely works like that. The details of the skin are enough, the tonality is very well achieved and, last but not least, the composition is (just) perfect.

Wonderful light and contrast
