Rosalyn the Goslin' by Lolabud

Currently unavailable for purchase

I was driving to work one day and saw a flash of yellow run by on the side of the road. There was this little goose and Mom was nowhere around. A man who happened to be working on the phone lines nearby said she’d been there for a couple of hours. So he helped me catch her (believe me, these little guys are fast….and I’m not). Eventually I was able to find a flock of Canadian Geese with some similar aged gosling. I was amazed at how quickly she was accepted into the group. I could distinguish her from the others for a few weeks because she was a little younger and smaller. She assimilated very well.

Oh fantastic!! Such a great pose.

  • Thanks Tingywende. My husband was holding her and our golden retriever was sitting below very interested. Little Roslyn was keeping one eye on Dexter.

You done a bloody great job there saving this little guy. The photograph is brilliant, love it. :-)

  • Thanks Dave. My Dad did the actual fostering as we have two large dogs and that was a concern. Little Roslyn started bonding with my Dad so we discussed it and decided it would be better if she was in the wild as it is intended. (plus there’s that pesky Migratory Birds Protection Act) We miss her, but she was a lot of fun while she was with us. Thanks for the comment.
