A glorious glimpse into a brief moment in time … the snow is still falling but in the distance, can a glimmer of brighter light be seen? Is the storm finally ending?

This image was taken on top of Blue Knob Mountain, in Claysburg, Pennsylvania in January of 2009. Although the original image, Heavy Laden, has been very popular, I’ve had many greeting card sales of this version with the snow-falling texture … and decided to post it as wall art, as well. Image taken with the Nikon D40x 1/20/2009. My thanks to CG Textures for the illusion of falling snow, added in Photoshop.

    Nice capture.
To bad we now have to go back and forth seeing the comments and discription.
Begining to think they have no problem making things more difficult for all of us. Kind of makes you think of pulling up anchor and moving on to new places.

  • Hey Tim … thank you … I hear ya on the description thingie … remember when our descriptions ran down the side of the page??? How convenient that was!!!!! SIGH!!!!!

This is beautiful…we have already had some of that weather here in Edmonton…18 inches of snow on November 7…our normal for the whole month is about 6 inches…so much prettier to look at in your photo than it is to shovel!

  • Hey Lou!!!!! Oh WOW … I’d heard about the snow you guys got … that’s outrageous!!!!!! The snow in this image is on top of a mountain in PA … and it’s a ski resort … so it’s what we all hope for all the time up there!!!!!
