I created and posted this to a group at FaceBook, as the final image in a One Picture A Day For Thirty Days challenge … a fascinating exercise in self-discipline and creativity. A commitment to myself more than anything, and one I’m glad I made … but … whew … tougher than I expected. The original posting had the phrase “The End” at the bottom … and the image was created with the idea of using those words, but I liked it alone, showing off the gleam of the reflections, too. If anyone is interested in purchasing with text of any kind, I’m more than happy to add it and post for sale.

Raw image taken with the Nikon D300 and the nifty fifty at 50mm. Aperture f/2.8, shutter 1/2, Manfrotto tripod.

  • Thank you, Jan. You know every time I do one of these shallow dof images, I am thinking of you!!!!!

Very nicely done Lois, love the shallow focus, DOF, light, reflections, tones, and color. You certainly hit a home run with this image, advertising TV, magazine quality, should submit this to Crown.
