A digitally enhanced image of a vase of sweet white roses complemented with a lovely lace texture from Jerry Jones / Shadow House Creations. Original raw photographic image taken with the Nikon D300 and the nifty fifty 50mm f/1.8 lens. Much tinkering in Photoshop CS4 and CS5, Nikon’s Capture NX2 and DAP, Versions and layers blended back in Photoshop.

Keep tinkering Lois because its looking good. When you mentioned Jerry Jones it made me think of the Dallas Cowboys owner who also has the same name. Its Very Artistic. Great Job.

    This is digitally enhanced?
    Seriously?

    …kidding. ;)

I think it’s beautiful. The warm, rich, ambers, honey and chamomile colours are thoroughly inviting. Great job with it, Lois. :)

  • BHAHHAH!!! You goof!!!! Yeah, well, a little bit!!!! BHAHAHA!!! I have to tell you, one of my best sellers of all time is a sunflower that I did up so crazy I was almost afraid to post it. So … I’ve been meaning to do more artsy / enhanced / abstracty images like it. If this one sells well, I guess I’ll just have to do more of them. Sigh … have to keep my public happy, don’t I??? ; D

Exactly. It’s good that you stepped out on a ledge and did it for yourself though. Sometimes I’ll post something and I know without a doubt, some people will see it and scratch their heads. That’s ok. We have to post what we feel at the moment. Ya know? We may not feel the same way the next day, and the moment will be gone. But there are those out there who will be experiencing the same thing at various times in their lives who will be drawn to the strange thing you may post, that will speak to them. So yes. Good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone! Timing is of the essence. ;)

  • So very true, sweetie. I like to let my heart fly out into the universe, even if most of the time the casual viewer will only see the obvious and never read between the lines. That’s fine by me. The universe and God and I know what I’m really saying. Like you, sometimes I’ll bump into a work of art here or elsewhere that just grabs my soul. There’s a connection … as real and vibrant as a length of rope .. between me and the artist. The artist may never know it, though if I can leave a comment that half expresses my feelings, I hope they will. And you’re so right … timing is crucial!!!!! Here in the art world … and in the larger universe as well. You are such a dear … thank you for YOU!!!!
