The Blue-grey tanager (Thraupis episcopus) is a medium sized South American songbird. They live together in pairs all year and nest in thick, leafy shrubs and trees and sometimes use nests abandoned by other birds.
This image was captured at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland in October of 2010. It is a compilation of several images using Photoshop CS4, Capture NX2 and Adobe Bridge. I send out my thanks for the textures to Jerry Jones’s Skeletal Mess and to Leslie Nicole’s French Kiss.
