I uploaded and named this image “Flight of the Snow Geese” at Fine Art America

… but posting it here, today, I had to change the name. Life is full of sad goodbyes, isn’t it.

Though we are experiencing difficult times here at The ’Bub, I myself am NOT leaving.

This is a capture of the flight of the snow geese, taken at Willow Point Wildlife Management Area in Kleinfeltersville, PA, USA. Camera used was the Nikon D300 with the 150-500mm Sigma OS, at 500 mm focal distance, hand held. My thanks to Jerry Jones of ShadowHouse Creations, Florabella and SolStock for the textures and to Obsidian Dawn for the moon brush.

I do hope you’re staying, Lois. I’ll even comment on an image with textures and stuff—this is lovely!

  • Thank you, Jan … I’m truly, truly grateful for you, for your friendship … and that you enjoyed this little image. And yes, I plan to stay … when I joined there were a number of scary images on the home page, I remember. You know … bondage and that sort of thing … it quite put me off for weeks before I finally screwed up my courage to become a member. So I kind of felt all along that I knew what i was getting in for when I signed up.

Fine Art America does seem to be the gathering place. Sad, people leaving, especially for these reasons. A beautiful tribute.

  • thank you so much, Joe. I’ve been over there for over a year now and love it very much. Most of my new work goes there, now, instead of here … but I still do love viewing and visiting my RB friends … they are so inspiring!!!!!

beautiful work, is everyone going to Fine Art America now ? Are you leaving ? I have heard alot of nasty things about RB in the past week.

  • Kathy, I’ve been at FAA for over a year … but I’m not leaving RB … I guess many are pretty much scattering to the winds … very sad.

I think I have missed quite a bit the past few days, but am catching up quickly… Sad things happening indeed, it seems… Hope you stay, Lois – and hope RB will be learning and listening to what is being said, also by those who have left already…

  • Thanks so, so much. Yes, very sad.
