This image is a composite of two of my shots, both captured in Ontario Canada on April 23, 2010. The sandpiper was captured just as he took off near the Presqu’ile marshes, and the background was taken on the Bay of Quinte, Ontario, Canada. Textures added in Photoshop.
The sandpiper (OOPS … it’s a killdeer!!! HAHAHA!!) was taken with the Nikon D300 and the 150-500mm OS lens at 500mm focal distance. The beach was taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens with the CP filter.
