Image taken during my visit with Renee Dawson, Lynda McDonald and Beve Brown-Clark on April 23, 2010 on the Bay of Quinte, Ontario, Canada, looking toward the Presqu’ile Lighthouse (constructed in 1845). The cormorants were taken on the same day at the Presqu’ile marshes and added in Photoshop.

Both images taken with the Nikon D300, the lighthouse was shot with the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens with the CP filter and the cormorants were taken with the Nikon D300 and the 150-500mm OS Sigma lens. Lots of textures added in Photoshop, including one of my own.

Beautiful!!!!! I love, love, love the textures you used!!!! WOW!!!!

  • Lori, thank you!!! The one that looks all peel-y is from an old building that had the most delicious peeling paint. I went crazy snapping it last year … late afternoon, sunny day … great shadows on the wood. I was pretty amazed at how it showed up on this shot. So glad you liked it, too!!
