“You choose to go voluntarily into the fire. The blaze might well destroy you. But if you survive, every blow of the hammer will serve to shape your being. Every drop of water wrung from you will temper and strengthen your soul.”

A compilation of two of my images. The eagle was taken on November 21, 2009 at Conowingo Dam in Conowingo Maryland, USA looking across the Susquehanna River into Pennsylvania with fellow RedBubblers Mike Rucci , BigD , and Lori Deiter with the Nikon D300 and the 70-300mm vr Nikon lens (at 300mm). The sky image was taken on April 12, 2008 in Montgomery County, Maryland, during an amazing and unusual sunset with the Nikon D40x and the 18-135mm Nikon lens.
Several layers of both images combined in Photshop at various blendings and opacities. Dodging and burning and a faint dry brush filter applied to my birdie friend rounded out the fun.
