I firmly believe every image has a story behind it, and this one’s no exception. Ever since the Ladybugs group opened, I’ve been looking for all my ladybugs. We generally have a few floating around … being somewhat out in the country, they’re very common, but lately, not so much. So when I discovered this little guy Friday, I grabbed the camera and had a field day. I’ve got enough ladybug shots to last me awhile now!!! On plants, on the broom, on the counter, the floor, paper … well, you get the idea. And the whole time, this little guy was so patient with me. Finally, I thought I had enough shots and was just about to put him outside when what do you think he did!! Spread his tiny wings and flew away!! Seriously!!! GONE!!! I couldn’t move for fear of stepping on him!!! Cautiously I made my way around the room, looking everywhere, but … no ladybug!! I gave up and walked out … very sorry not to have returned the favor he did for me. About an hour later I came back into the kitchen and there he was … happily perched on top of the camera!! I opened the door to the back deck, grabbed the camera (and him) and blew him off out to freedom.
I sure hope one of the birds didn’t eat him.

Beautiful mini-scene, Lois. I wonder what answers you might have gotten if you had asked us to guess what the bug is standing on. :) Ted
You know it’s funny you should suggest that because it did cross my mind. Only problem is, well, you know me and my love of words … somewhere along the line the title to this one popped into my head, and that was that, lol!!!
