It’s much more overgrown than it was in dead winter … and the horsie didn’t come out to visit … but I still think this shot is okay. Will probably go back again in winter and try to recreate the shot I lost.

Hey sweetie … you know, I’ve often toyed with the idea of joining a camera club. I even finally located one not tooooo terribly far from where I live. I really should just go to a meeting to get a feel for what they’re all about. Thing is, at this point, I don’t think I fit in a box … meaning I’m too far gone to be made to consistently do things and create images that are exactly like everyone else’s. Like I said, I really shouldn’t judge until I go and see for myself. Then too, there’s always plenty of new stuff to learn and I’m sure I’m missing out on a lot of technical tricks that would be so helpful. Keep me posted on your Camera Club journey!!!!! I’m fascinated!!!!

VERY interesting, Luda!!!!! I have to laugh at your comment about the winning entries being ones you’d delete. See … that’s the thing … this is all subjective. It’s beauty in the eye of the beholder, if you know what I mean. And in this case, your beholder is a professional photographer whose tastes might be totally different from a different pro photog or from you and I!! But fascinating, fascinating stuff!!!!! Wish we lived closer … I’d be tagging along with you, that’s for sure!!!!
